After one month of negotiations, the closing of Collective Labor Agreement XX 2017-2019 PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) marked an important milestone for PT Freeport Indonesia and PUK SP-KEP SPSI PTFI and PK FPE KSBSI PTFI. On Wednesday, January 31, 2018 the company and PTFI Unions officially singed the agreement that was mutually beneficial for all parties under the Collective Labor Agreement XX 2017-2019.

The CLA signing ceremony took place at the Multipurpose Building, Kuala Kencana by Head of PUK SP KEP SPSI PTFI Lukas Saleo, Head of PUK FPE KSBSI PTFI Albert Janampa, representatives of PTFI EVP HRD PTFI Ahmad Didi Artdianto & EVP, Chief Financial Robert Schroder. The signing of CLA also attended by Mimika Regency Secretary Ausilius You, Mimika Distrik Attorney Alex Soemarna, Mimika Legislative Council Commission Chairman Saleh Alhamid, and Mimika Head of Manpower Roni Marjen serta Indonesia Police Force.

All parties worked together to resolve differences and to reach an agreement that was mutually beneficial for all parties.

The company is optimistic about the future and looks forward to working cooperatively and in partnership with the new union leadership.
